What Is the DHI Hair Transplant Method? How Does It Differ from FUE?

What Is the DHI Method?

DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is a hair transplant method in which grafts are placed directly into the recipient area using special pens. Unlike FUE, no channels are pre-drilled.

Grafts are loaded onto the implanting pens immediately after extraction and transplanted directly.

Differences Between DHI and FUE

In FUE, channels are created first, followed by graft placement. In DHI, these two steps are performed in a single stage.

DHI can provide more precise control for hairline densification. However, the procedure typically takes longer.

Which Method Is Better for You?

The severity of hair loss and the desired outcome determine which method is preferred. When performed correctly, both methods can produce permanent and natural results.
