Local Anesthesia
Hair transplant procedures are typically performed under local anesthesia. The patient remains conscious but does not feel any pain in the area being treated.
What Do You Feel During Anesthesia?
A temporary sensation of a needle prick may be felt during the administration of anesthesia. Once the anesthesia takes effect, no discomfort is felt throughout the procedure.
Comfort Measures
Some clinics use vibrating devices or cooling sprays to minimize the sensation of the needle.
